Big Sean Disses Kendrick Lamar
OMG what’s next for the rappers?
According to GOOD Music artist Big Sean, he himself is the rap king in the popular song ‘Control,’ which also features Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica.
“I’m a good a** rapper,” he said in a recent interview with Vibe.com. “Big Sean got bars…Listen to everything. Listen to ‘Control.’ I feel like my verse was harder.”
Ouch, Big Sean, where did that come from? Why are you slamming your boy Kendrick like that? Maybe Big Sean is getting a bit jealous of all the attention Kendrick Lamar’s diss-laced verse has received. It includes such lyrics as:
“But this is hip-hop and them niggas should know what time it is
And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big KRIT, Wale,
Pusha T, Meek Millz, A$AP Rocky, Drake,
Big Sean, Jay Electron’, Tyler, Mac Miller,
I got love for you all but I’m tryna murder you niggas”
Big Sean wasn’t aware of Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics until he read them in the studio. He says, “But when I heard that verse I was like ‘Man, I’m not about to go back and change my verse. That’s cheating’…I could go back, change it. Make it this. I could namedrop. You know, I could do this. I could cut his verse up, but that ain’t the way of a OG. You know what I’m saying? That ain’t how Gs move. And I wanted to do that for the culture of Hip Hop. For the culture of rap as opposed to myself. Like tryna protect myself.”
Hmm, if that is true, then why did Big Sean have to claim that he is harder that Kendrick Lamar?
“Because I know it’s Hip Hop, it’s a sport,” Big Sean states. “I think it should get back to being competitive…It’s like we all young G’s. We all people who came up. We got respect for each other.”
